Fernando Costa – A Community Pillar

In this episode of the LusoCanada Podcast, we speak with Fernando Costa, a community leader and innovator who spent his professional life as a lawyer. Costa arrived in Canada in 1964 and quickly got involved in community work by joining First Portuguese’s Board of Directors where he served in various roles. Later, he co-founded the Federation of Portuguese Canadian Business and Professionals and was instrumental in persuading Canada Post to publish a stamp in honour of Pedro da Silva, Canada’s first courier. Costa is the first Portuguese lawyer in Canada.
